About us About Molested Catholics
This website will prove to be our most important tool in our journey for justice, restoration and compensation.
Our aim is not to provide a location for survivors to air their pain and the horror of their stories. That simply does not go far enough through no fault of anyone. Airing ones pain is one thing, doing something about it is quite another. Here we aim to be proactive and positive and to bring together those people and those tools required for survivors to work together to demand their rights and to demand justice for the sake of those already harmed and for the sake of those children who will follow us.
Our key words are: empowerment and awareness.
We aim to provide a the opportunity and ability for you to use the facilities to be proactive in whichever way you find best. We have very little rules, the few we have are simply to comply with the requirements of some survivor groups. Many have been involved in class actions and there is a requirement that you do not discuss your dealings with those actions. Many of us have come to the conclusion that class actions are simply another method used to silence and separate us and to deny us the opportunity to voice our opinions. Here at molested Catholics we hope to make that all change. We are here to assist and support one another and to increase the opportunities to communicate with others who have had similar experiences or to help support those of us in need. We want to hear from you about creative ideas and ways to raise money to further our work here and with those victims who have 'fallen through the cracks'.
We aim to raise awareness on every level wherever abuse still exists in whatever manifestations, and in whatever forged credentials it presents itself.
A word on religion. Our name and domain name says Molested Catholics we take that to mean any person disadvantaged or harmed by Christianity or religion. In regards religion we do not want to make the site a promotional piece for religion as we are here to talk of the crimes and the criminals and of how religion was used to abuse and harm us.
A word on God. Many of us have no personal interest in debating this question. We find it irrelevant to our concept. The site open to those who believe or do not believe - if you wish to debate or discuss that area there are plenty of locations available to do that; subsequently we take a non-interested position as our focus is on the crime, criminals and the use of religon to abuse and disadvantage. We aim to support one another through our healing process.

Pedophiles who molest boys are not expressing a homosexual orientation any more than pedophiles who molest girls are practicing heterosexual behaviors. While many child molesters have gender and/or age preferences, of those who seek out boys, the vast majority are not homosexual. They are pedophiles.
